Draw downs are compared and formulas are altered to ensure that our customers receive the best oil color at the best price. Grumbacher Pre-tested Professional Oil Paint, Raw Umber, is made with pure pigments milled in alkali-refined linseed oil. Raw Umber is a traditional deep brown earth color and is one of the few colors that is warm in mass tone and cool when diluted with white. This oil color is a universal earth tone excellent for glazes, brunaille, shadows,etc.
