Grumbacher Pre-Tested Professional Oil Colors – (1.25oz/37ml) Raw Sienna

Grumbacher Pre-Tested Oil Paint has long stood for professional quality oil color. Each color swatch has been tested for masstone and mixability, and has been painted by hand. It is further tested by our staff for characteristics such as lightfastness, drying properties, pigment dispersion and viscosity. Draw downs are compared and formulas are altered to ensure that our customers receive the best oil color at the best price. Truly a professional paint, the majority of our colors are single pigment with superior tinting strength and have a lightfast rating of 1-excellent. 

Grumbacher Pre-tested Professional Oil Paint, Raw Sienna, is made with pure pigments milled in alkali-refined linseed oil. Raw Sienna is a traditional, semi-transparent Dark Yellow-Tan Earth Color that is similar to, but darker than, Yellow Ochre in masstone. This oil paint contains a high tinting strength. Although mined in the U.S.A., Grumbacher Raw Sienna is an exact match of the masstone, undertone, and mixing qualities of the unavailable Italian Siennas of yesteryear.
